Call for Papers for the 16th International Interdisciplinary Conference, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya on June 25 - 27, 2025 at Multimedia University of Kenya (online and in-person options - Hybrid Platform)
General conference theme: “New Frontiers of Development Opportunities”
Download Call for papers
Conference Venue: Multimedia University of Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya and face to face and online
Sponsors: Multimedia University of Kenya, Kenya Scholars and Studies Association (KESSA), Centre for Democracy, Research and Development (CEDRED) and African Interdisciplinary Studies Association (AISA)
There are many New Frontiers of Development Opportunities which have emerged on the African continent in the recent past, inspired by Artificial Intelligence and other ideas. There are new developments and opportunities in sports, health, engineering, transport, communication and media, education, science and technology, agriculture, minerology, livestock, fisheries, economic, metallurgy, energy and indigenous knowledge systems, cultural and political developments, which call for more innovations, inventions and discoveries in all sectors. The new development opportunities in Africa need African silicon valleys, industrial parks and hubs and other development initiatives useful to continual industrial take-off. There is need for all sectors on the continent to be revived in order to create new impetus for Africa’s development stimulus. The conference is anchored in the belief and realization that the West or East will not be the way because they have vested interests which may not be in line with those of the continent. The contention is that countries which have developed have not done so based on external aid but internal innovation. Africa’s relations with China have not created different dynamics from those of the West. Africa needs to get out of the dependence on donor support and aid in order to create new opportunities for the continent. We invite critical and research papers for the 2025 conference, hoping that the conference will provide an opportunity for scholars from Africa and outside to share their research on new development opportunities to harness the great potential on the African continent through collaboration with partners on equal basis. We encourage senior scholars, junior scholars and students to submit abstracts for the conference which we anticipate will surpass the 1,000 record we established in the pre-Covid-19 era, with the support of everyone.
Organized and hosted by Multimedia University of Kenya, African Interdisciplinary Studies Association (AISA) and the Centre for Democracy, Research and Development (CEDRED), this 16th International Interdisciplinary Conference will be held on June 25 to 27, 2025 at Nairobi, Kenya. The conference will bring together scholars from all over the world to make presentations on matters that touch on research and development in Africa. Submission of abstracts: Send abstracts of between 250 and 300 words, including full contact details (title, name, address, email-address, and telephone) as well as institutional affiliation by March 30 2025 to Prof. Maurice N. Amutabi and Prof. (Eng) Abel Mayaka at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots.
